Question: Is it possible to over practice?

Typically no.

Quite often, those most concerned about over-practicing just want an excuse not to practice.  Or they are afraid that repetition will make them bored with the material come time for the actual presentation.

The key is to show up to the presentation with focus and enthusiasm.  It is nearly impossible to be focused and enthusiastic if you don’t feel confident with your material.

Professional athletes know that to win, to be at the top of their game, practice is not optional.  Practice builds confidence and consistency.

What I will say is that it is a good idea to limit the number of full run-throughs the day of the presentation.  Do a bulk of your work before presentation day.  Then, do one full run through a couple of hours before your time to present.  After that, just review your notes.  This will help you to keep your presentation fresh and energetic for your audience.
